walking in a winter wonderland

I went for a WALK today.

It was super COLD outside, especially

with the WIND that chilled my cheeks.

The sound of SNOW crunching under my feet,

and the MITTENS that seem eager to warm my hands.

The great FRIENDS I walked with,
and the GOOD conversations during that walk.

While walking your legs go NUMB

and your eyes TEAR from the wind,

the SUN shines so brightly and

makes everything SPARKLE.

Then to end up at STARBUCKS and drink

a yummy HOT beverage which I enjoyed

while READING the most beautiful and 

inspiring BOOKS in Chapters, as we sat

on the ground and just READ!

How LOVELY a cold winter day can  be 

I ENJOYED every minute of it :)
