Storms

 "So pursue them with Your tempest

And terrify them with Your storm...

That they may seek Your face, O LORD"

It's quite windy here, but I would not consider this a storm. TheWeatherNetwork says the wind is 35km/h, so it is windier than usual in these parts. I found a blog post on www.generationcedar.com, a wonderful blog by people who just went through the devastation of loosing everything due to the tornadoes that swept across Alabama. A tornado, now that is what we call a storm.

But storms can also hit in our lives, when they aren't about snow or rain or wind. Storms in life that are trials. They upset the 'normal'. They throw us off the path. And we have to cope, in one way or another. I believe these storms are a time of growth, and God has a purpose for them, though we don't know what or why just yet.

“And we know that in all things God works for
the good of those who love him, who have
been
called according to his purpose.”
